John Prue, CPRP


He recently completed 39 years working in support of quality of life programs and services within the Department of Defense for Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR). After leading a large successful installation MWR program for many years, he most recently served as the MWR Program Analyst for Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, where he performed analytical duties to assess and to support the overall effectiveness of all MWR programs across twenty-three installations and annex sites within a nine-state area. As a colleterial duty, he also served as a Navy MWR Accreditation-Lead, validating program standards and assessing selected MWR programs around the world. A lifelong active member and of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), he has facilitated numerous educational sessions to a national audience and is a strong advocate for the industry. John is currently a member of the NRPA Board of Directors and is also an elected member of the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration.
